Lighting and Supporting the Future
US FOR THE SOCIAL
CIB Unigas is proud to support chess champion Kenny Solomon, an athlete who embodies determination and passion for the game.
Kenneth Terence Solomon
South Africa’s first Grandmaster, is particularly active in promoting projects to teach the game of chess to the most fragile children in the most remote neighbourhoods, who are often marginalised and seen as a danger. Kenny, on the other hand, tries to pass on to them the art of chess, teaches them the rules and tries to bring out the best in each of these boys. CIB Unigas supports the project and the work of the South African Master in his cause to save and educate street children.

Bambini delle Fate
The association I Bambini delle Fate is a non-profit organisation that supports social inclusion projects for children and young people with autism and other disabilities. Founded by Franco Antonello, this association works with companies, organisations and individuals to raise funds for various local projects run by associations and cooperatives across the country. CIB Unigas has been supporting the association and promoting its projects for almost 15 years.
The Solisti Veneti and the Scimone-Pancolini Prize
The Solisti Veneti were founded in 1959 by Maestro Claudio Scimone and have established themselves as one of the orchestral excellencies of recent decades, gaining international fame for their interpretations of major works by Italian and foreign composers. The Scimone-Pancolini International Prize was created to pay tribute to the memory of the founder Claudio Scimone and Mr. Claudio Pancolini, whose passion for classical music – and in particular for the violin, symbol of his beloved Cremona – remains alive in this celebration. The prize aims to reward young talents in the field of classical music and is awarded to musicians who distinguish themselves in this genre, thus contributing to the preservation and dissemination of classical music and art in its broadest sense.

Davide Project
The ‘Davide Project’ was created in 2017 to support Davide, a boy with autism spectrum traits caused by a genetic variation, through a customised educational programme based on ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). The project allowed Davide to improve motor and social skills, and exercise was also chosen to help him sleep, one of his major difficulties. Since the family moved to Canazei, the parents have transformed their facility, Villa Mozart (now Mozart Nesthouse – https://www.mozartnesthouse.it/), into an inclusive hotel, designed to welcome families with disabled people, offering educational continuity and services such as speech therapy and psychomotricity. The facility also aims to offer ABA services and continuous care for the local community, avoiding long journeys for families in the area.
